Kayaking On Loch Maree
Starting at Slatterdale on Loch Maree, explore the fourth longest freshwater loch in Scotland and visit the islands on the loch. A major feature of the loch is the large number of islands it holds, the larger contain pristine remnants of ancient Caledonian Pinewood. Some of these Scots Pine trees are over 350 years old and stand on ground which has changed little in the last 8000 years. Following the footsteps of Queen Victoria, you will kayak to Isle Maree, believed to be an 8th century hermitage.
All equipment is provided, including kayaks, buoyancy aids and paddles. Minimum of 2 people per booking.
Gairloch Canoe and Kayak Centre can also organise guided walks to the fairy lochs along with bike and e-bike hire.
