Our restaurant offers stunning panoramic Highland views overlooking the picturesque Shieldaig bay where boats nestle and seals frolic.
The Shieldaig Estate has one of the finest larders. Rare breed lamb, Highland cattle and its own deer herd can be found on the Estate. Crab, lobster, langoustine, oysters and scallops are caught by hand right in front of the hotel. Salmon is locally smoked. We have recently renovated our walled garden and have reinstated a vegetable garden, allowing for fresh produce to grow just on our doorstep. Head Chef, Jerome Prodanu's menus change daily and is based on what is fresh in the larder that day. All ingredients are locally sourced and freshly prepared on site, please let us know if you have any allergies or special dietary requirements, gluten free options available on request.

Time for Tea
Afternoon tea: delicious sweet treats, a range of teas, a mouth-watering selection of homemade cakes, sandwiches, scones & seasonal produce... all completely superfluous, but entirely irresistible. Enjoy a handpicked selection of chef's favourite sweet and savoury morsels - a real taste of the Highlands - in our beautiful country house hotel.
Served in the loch-view restaurant, lounge or cosy Liberator Bar, afternoon tea is available daily but bookings must be made at least 48 hours in advance.

Shellfish gastro experience
The experience starts on Dry Island in the bay of Badachro. Boarding our local fisherman’s creel boat, Iain will give you a warm welcome and then combine a guided historic tour of the bay with creel fishing. During the trip you will help bring in the day’s fayre (typically crab, langoustine and lobster). On returning to the hotel the catch is delivered to the kitchen where our chefs will create an incredible five-course shellfish gastro feast for you.

Board our fisherman's creel boat on day two with a historic guided tour of Badachro Bay, while catching crab, langoustine and lobster. Upon your return to the hotel, our chef's will create a delicious five-course feast.
